British-born artist Torie Begg, was a prolific abstract painter, active from the mid eighties to late 2000s.

Her most celebrated work is from her ‘Apparently..’ series of paintings.

Monochromatic squares of layered acrylic paint on canvas. With each of the works there is a signature dribble to the edge, revealing the layers of pigment that make up the final surface colour.
