RETROUVIUS has just saved many worn and patinated leather fronted panels. Once forming shelves in a prominent and famous London library the tactile leather surfaces are highly distressed and torn in places from years of use.

The panels date from the mid 19th century. With oak bull nose fronts on the leading edge and mounted on pine they offer re-use as wall cladding or as fronts to cupboards and drawers.

For sale in its original condition the surface is in places friable, fragile and powdery but treatable with leather food / lanolin to bring back colour and texture.
